Abstract The sustainability of healthcare can be defined as the quality medical care activity that is carried out without depleting available resources and destroying environment, so negatively affecting health population does not use in a way affects ability next generation to provide increasing number chronic conditions. Healthcare responsible for negative environmental impacts, including greenhouse gas emissions, air pollution, plastic waste pharmaceutical pollution ecosystems through improper excretion disposal. Evidence extent these effects has increased high-income countries. science explores dimensions resource consumption associated with activities. This emerging area provides tools values quantify unintended consequences delivery assess effective approaches improve patient safety while protecting public health.
